W&Z Fav Blue Spirulina

Here are a couple reason I love to incorporate spirulina into my life.

Adding spirulina does not change the taste of your smoothie, but it does give it a beautiful blue. I looked for a while to find a brand I wanted to purchase and could never find one that wasn’t sold in bulk and way out of my budget for a super food.

Input this brand, Ellie’s Best. They reached out to me for a collab and sent me a bag of blue spirulina. It was perfect timing! I have been using it for a few months and I LOVE using it in smoothies, yogurt bowls, oatmeal, desserts, etc. You have probably seen a lot of brilliant blue or purple foods that I have posted lately and they all have a teaspoon of this blue spirulina in it.

I have not had any issues with it triggering a fodmap reaction or an IC diet reaction.

So I’m here to give you my recipe for this beautiful smoothie. 2 cups of frozen chopped honeydew
½ cup frozen coconut yogurt (unsweetened)
1 frozen sliced banana
1 tsp Ellie’s Best blue spirulina
