Staying on track with a sweet tooth is difficult, especially when you are on a diet that doesn’t allow sugar such as Paleo or Whole30. I have found the best way to combat cravings is to plan ahead. Which is why I bake this simple sweet potato and pineapple dish. I have it after dinner that night, and then separate it into small containers for the next time my sweet tooth hits.
1/2 sweet potato
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp avocado oil
Peel sweet potato and pineapple. Cut into small chunks approximately 1/2 inch wide. Place avocado oil at the bottom of the pan. Add in sweet potato and pineapple to dish. Drizzle maple syrup over mixture. Mix with spoon. Bake at 400 for approximately 40 minutes, or until you start to see it brown on the edges. After you let cool, separate into small containers and refridgerate.
